WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Student Intern perform and participates in collecting, coding, analysing, and presenting studies and project cases. They collect both published and grey literature on a particular topic needed by the team. They code the stock of the literature into categories for review analysis. They summarize the review literature and presents the findings to internal TNC staffs. They merge the ecological and socioeconomic data from a particular project. They add publicly available data that can help to analyse the project’s data. They analyse the combined data and provide recommendations for project’s adaptive management.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate, motivated problem-solver, with following Responsibilities & Scope.

• Works under close supervision.
• Conducts a literature review from both published and grey literature on forestry and sustainable logging practices.
• Analyzes ecological and socioeconomic data to provide recommendations for project’s adaptive management.
• Presents the summary and findings from the literature review and data analysis.

WHAT YOULL BRING

• High school diploma or GED and 6 months of related experience
• Experience operating various types of equipment in a safe and efficient manner (e.g. lawn mower, chainsaw, UTV, ATV or OHV, two-way radio, or similar equipment).
• Must be able to obtain related licenses or certifications as required. (e.g. First Aid, CPR, herbicide or pesticide application).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
• Ability to follow instructions from colleagues/coworkers/team members.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Reading comprehension, writing, and presentation in English
• Basic statistical analysis and geospatial analysis
• Ability to conduct statistical analysis using statistical software such as R, STATA
• Ability to conduct spatial mapping using GIS software.
